Hello,
I am running Virtual box 5.0.6 on a fully up to date Windows 10 home machine and have noted that while I can make a connection using NAT i can not with bridging mode regardless of if I am using a wireless or wired connection, I have seen this mentioned in other locations on this forum but can't see that there has been any movement to correct this problem - has there been some work around found for this?, I can't seem to find one mentioned.

Hi FalloutBoy,

You might try this approach:

1. Uninstall Virtualbox.
2. Reboot your machine.
3. Disable your network adapter.
4. Install Virtualbox using the run as Administrator option.
5. Reboot.
6. Enable your network adapter.

If you are still having problems please post your VM's log file as an attachment so that someone can help you further.

I do believe that the OP mentioned that v5.0.6 was the version causing the problem.

If you haven't resolved the issue can you open a Windows command prompt (cmd.exe) and then run the following commands:
cd "\Program Files\Oracle\VirtualBox"
vboxmanage list bridgedifs
The directory specified will need to change if you installed VirtualBox in a location other than its default. If you post the results we can see what you got...
