losing my VDI every time I shutdown my linux

Post by edgar-knarretje »

Hi, I am losing my VDI files (and directories) after I shutdown my ubuntu 8.04 hardy host. Since the PC is behind a proxy I am not able to register myself... Are these two problems connected? Anyone had this problem before? I wonder how to tackle this, since it is no fun to recreate a vdi and reinstall Windows every time I boot up Ubuntu... :(

Any suggestions greetings :?: -- @gar --

Are you really loosing them or is this just a setup issue? Do a find / -name \*.vmi before and after reboot.
