[Solved] USB Memory Stick Problem
Posted: 17. Jun 2008, 11:44
Host: OpenSuSE 10.3. Guest: XP. VirtualBox: 1.6.0
I have successfully enabled USB support, and XP sees my memory stick OK (and shows it as a Removable Disk E: )
The problem is that when I try to access it, I get the message "Insert Disk into Drive E:"
I have tried disabling the USB 2.0 driver, but this makes no difference.
I would be grateful for any advice.
LATER EDIT: I upgraded to 1.6.2. Still the same problem. Everything I'd read said you must remove any USB device from the host system before mounting it on the guest, so that's what I'd been doing. Anyway, I tried NOT "removing" the flash drive from the Host, and it worked just fine, even with USB 2 driver enabled!! Hope this helps someone else.
