Fascinating.

I have both the xml and the xml-prev open side-by-side. Both have a <MachineRegistry> tag. Underneath that tag is a <MachineEntry tag with reference to a Virtualbox guest at "C:/Users/Tim Burton-Durham/VirtualBox VMs/Paladone Dev Server/Paladone Dev Server.vbox" (The slashes are backwards from usual Windows usage for a path, probably an xml thing.)

First thought: these files have info in them that does not appear in your earlier posted xml file. Interesting.

Second thought: If you go through this path, do you find a .vbox file?

Hi Guys,

Thank you so much for your help during this troubling time....I have now fixed the issue...it seems that the virtual box was also saving to a D:Drive...so I had one in C: and one in D:....restoring from the D:drive has worked!

Once again...thanks for your time....very much appreciated!

Me too, although VirtualBox will not save to a different drive unless told to. 8)

Welcome. No reason to feel silly and makes sense if you weren't the one to set it up. Wasn't a waste of my time. 8)
