Guest keyboard starts sending multiple characters

Subject: Guest keyboard starts sending multiple characters for a single keypress
Not able to set root password while setting up virtual machine using peoplesoft image.
The guest system's keyboard begins to respond erroneously. For example a key press for a single key gets repeated 10 times randomly, preventing the user from typing anything in the guest OS because of which am not able to proceed further.
even i tried with virtual box 4.3.30 but then no luck
Below are version detail

Virtual Box version - 5.0 with extension pack
Host machine - Windows 2012 R2
Guest OS - oracle linux 6
