Please read the following:
Minimum information needed for assistance. As far as the VBox.log.
zip goes, here's what you do:
- Start the VM.
- Shut down the VM.
- Right-click on the VM in the VirtualBox Manager.
- Select "Show Log..."
-
ZIP it and attach it in your response.
On top of that, I'd like to see the "
<UserDirectory>\VirtualBox VMs\
<YourVirtualMachine>\
<YourVirtualMachine>.vbox" as well. Zipped of course...

- You have only 16MB of VRAM. Take it up to 32 or even 64 MB.
- You have the Guest Additions at 4.1.20. Boot in safe mode and update them.
Try these and report back. If it doesn't get fixed, then I need to see the zipped VM recipe, "G:\Virtual Box (Local)\Windows Xp Test\Windows Xp Test.
vbox"

I seem to recall that running sfc /scannow on the host fixed this?
