Please tell me which version will be installed in RHEL5?

Post by wwww_wu »

The kernel version of RHEL5 is 2.6.18-8.el5xen x86_64.
I have tried several version virtualbox rpms for rhel5-1.x86_64,but there is the same error:
FATAL: Error inserting vboxdrv (/lib/modules/2.6.18-8.el5xen/misc/vboxdrv.ko): Unknown symbol in module, or unknown parameter (see dmesg)

You have to install the kernel package for you currently running kernel and call /etc/init.d/vboxdrv then. Keep in mind that VirtualBox will not work on Xen kernels.

VirtualBox is about the easiest virtualization out there. If you have trouble with VBox, I think you'll probably have some with Xen also......

My machine is IBM 3850 M2,it is a 64-bit system.
I tested winxp and win2003,but they were dead when boot.
Finally i installed win2008 in the Xen,It worked well.
But It has a little problem which the net bridge doesn't work.
I can not find the veth0,I think it is the posibble reason for that.
