I have been fighting this for some time...
Installed ubuntu 8.04 64 bit, wit in windows 2000
Everything works great Except....
It defaults installs UK english... I changed everything to US
Language Support
Keyboard preferences USA Generic
Time Zone US/Denver...
How ever if I install virtualBox (virtualbox_1.5.6-28266_Ubuntu_hardy_amd64.deb) , the keyboard barely if not all works. UNLESS I change my keyboard to UK, which makes it too confusing to use!
What can I do to fix this... I HAVE to use these products in order to live with ubuntu.
I have reinstalled twice and made sure the HD was defragmented, and all updates installed before hand!

PS keyboard always works fine in ubuntu and my reg. win 2k
