Host < -- > Guest Connection Issue

Host: Windows 10
Guests: Microsoft Server 2012, SQL Server 2012 Developer Ed., Ubuntu Server 14.02
Virtualbox: 5.0.4
I am unable to connect to any virtual machine instance from the host computer. Each VM is running in bridged adapter mode. When I try to ping the host machine from any VM, there is no response. VMs can successfully ping each other, or any other real computer on my network. Other computers on the network can successfully ping any VM and the host PC. I was able to connect to the SQL VM from my laptop and successfully query the database.
The Virtual machines get no response from the host and vice versa. Oddly enough, there is a response when the host pings the SQL server using its PC name or its IPV6 address.
I don't get what the problem might be. Network settings in VirtualBox appear to be set up correctly. I tried flushing dns, resetting IPV4 configurations, disabling Antivirus and firewalls. No dice. What should I do to further troubleshoot this?
Everything worked fine until this morning when the host PC unexpectedly powered off. After restarting, I was unable to get any VM to start; kept getting error VERR_LDR_MISMATCH_NATIVE. I uninstalled/reinstalled virtualbox, then was able to start my VMs.
EDIT 9/26/15 1PM: I had a usb wifi adapter sitting around. I installed it on my host PC, then bridged the guest's connection through that instead of the motherboard's integrated ethernet adapter. Now it works. So... likely an issue with the motherboard's ethernet adapter?
1:14: After bridging the guest through the wireless network, I tried switching back to the ethernet connection and removing the usb adapter. It started working through that connection also.
