How to get rid op previous snapshots

I have three snapshots. The third one is the one that has everything I need, but in the tree it seems dependent of the first two snapshots.

How do I get rid of snapshots 1 and 2? Can I delete them without losing snapshot 3?

I have removed older snapshots leaving newer snapshots and it seemed to work fine. That is, although each subsequent snapshot is a derivation of the earlier one, when you "remove" a snapshot, you are actually writing the changes stored in the snapshot to your virtual disk. Therefore, those changes still remain to act as a "foundation" to any newer snapshots.
