Win ME Upgrade clean install
Win ME Upgrade clean install
I have formatted my virtual hard drive, and tried to boot with CD support using the boot floppy. It shows one driver, then stops with no prompt. Normally, I get a long list of drivers and a prompt. I'm using an upgrade disc, so it's not bootable. Do I need to use a different procedure in virtualbox?

If you're using an upgrade CD, you'll get to a stage where the product needs to be verified - at this stage I found that I couldn't get the installation process to accept the CD for Win98 and then change back again.
So, what I did was:
a) copy the Win98files to HDD, so verification could be got from there
b) produce a bootable CD for WinMe using the existing CD content and a bootable floppy image obtained from the 98CD (which was bootable)
