Linux guest on Windows10 Host, installation&resolution probs

Hey, I am new to VirtualBox and trying to setup a Linux guest on a Windows 10 host. The first issue I am having is with the Linux OS boot within the VM. After starting selected VM, the screen is black and reads "FATAL: No bootable system found! System halted." I selected the appropriate ISO image file in the First Time Wizard so I'm not sure why I get this error.
The second issue I have I think may be caused by Windows 10. The Linux guest opens in a new window, but the actual box showing the OS only takes up about 1/15 of my screen. Is there a way to adjust this to make it closer to full screen? I have noticed this happening with several other programs in Windows 10. Tried to upload a screenshot, but can't get a file size small enough.
Thanks for the help!
