My problem is that when ever i set my network settings to NAT its fine with internet and i can see my ip through ifconfig but not able to be access from my host win 7 throuugh putty or Xshell.
while when networrk settings are, Bridge adopter then i cannot see my ip through ifconfig and obviously cannot ping it through host win7.

Re: cannot access guest terminal through putty
If you use NAT, you need to set up a port forward to access SSH in the guest OS - NAT mode is just like a regular router at home, it hides what's behind it unless you setup a port forward rule.
If you use Bridged, then the guest OS will appear on the network like any other regular machine. It means you need a DHCP server in that network or set a static IP yourself.
Note: Bridging on Wifi is not guaranteed to work due to possible hardware/firmware/driver limitation on which VirtualBox has no control.
