Hi every one.

I have been installed Oracle Linux on Windows 7. The host performance (Windows 7) goes to slow when I start the Oracle Linux. When finally my oracle linux opens, everything is too slow, everything, every program, also google in both machines; host and virtual.

I tried to change CPU Configuration and Mem but nothing happens.

This is the summary of my Oracle Linux configuration:

Oracle (64-bit)
Memory: 2048 MB
CPUs: 2
Aceleration: VT-x/AMD-V,nested paging , PAE/NX, Paravitualizacion KVM

Video MEM: 12 Mb
Controller: SATA Port SATA 0: LInuxDWH.vdi (Normal, 50.00Gb)

And my host have:

Physical Memory: 8GB
CPU: Intel Core i7-3517U 1.9 Ghz / 2.40 Ghz
OS: Windows 64 Bit
Disk: 500 Gb (5200 rpms) IDE\DiskWDC_WD5000LPVT-75G33T0__________________01.01A01

When this happens, the Length average disk queue have values like 1305, 1820, 1225. If I check cpu performance, all are on vacations also 2 cpus are disabled.

Please help me to determine what happens and if I need to change something in my host or modify my Oracle Linux configuration or my host.
If you need more information, please tell me.

Thanks
Oskar

Post a VM log file. With the VM fully shut down, right click it in GUI. Select "Show Log" and save "VBox.log" (ONLY) to a zip file. Attach the zip here.

I see nothing unusual except the use of the new KVM hypervisor API. You could try turning that off, and install the Guest Additions (see chapter 4).

You only have a dual core host, which host and VM have to share, so this PC is never going to be very fast, though it really depends on how resource hungry they both are (Win64? very). OL guest? dunno.

I cannot disable that option cause its necesary for x86-64 systems.
I read another article about that, someone writes that its necessary change the default option to KVM. I did change that option this weekend and OS works perfectly.

Thanks, really thanks.

If that was true then I wouldn't have suggested it. VT-x or AMD-v is needed by VirtualBox running on the host to run a 64bit VM. Presenting a KVM API to a (Linux) guest is optional, and has nothing to do with 64bit support.

It isn't clear to me now what you did. You can't have turned on KVM support, since the log shows it was already on. So perhaps you turned it off despite your first sentence?
