[Solved] Guest & Host cannot communicate with each other

Post by blasto »

Hi,

My first post here and I need some help from you guys :)
I'm running Centos 6.7 guest inside a Windows Vista host with VirtualBox 5.04. Host has a single network interface which is bridged for VM. There is a seperate dhcp server on the network and both machines acquire ip addresses without a problem and even they both can connect to (and from) other clients on lan. However they cannot communicate with each other. Ping from both sides do not work. This VM is exported from a windows xp host and back there I didn't have such a problem. Windows firewall is disabled and iptables is stopped.
How can I overcome this issue, what can be the reason of this connection problem? I appreciate any ideas..

thanks in advance

Hey, thanks for the fast response!
I've switched back to previous version (5.0.2) and the connection problem vanished...
