I'm receiving this error as of this morning. I've tried 2 different networks and get the same error on both.

Checking for a new VirtualBox version...
The network operation failed with the following error: Content access denied.

I tried posting an image of it but the forum rules won't allow it.

I have the same problem whet trying to update from GUI (VBox v5.0.0 r101573) on MacOS X (10.10.5). Can someone help?

Checking for updates has been broken for awhile. Just go to VirtualBox.org and see if there are newer updates. Which there are. 5.0.4 is the current release.
