Dear all,
This has been posted on a different thread but I did not get a response so I am creating a new thread in hopes to attract attention.
I installed VB on Windows 8.1 and it started up the first time but after a reboot it refused to start up and I have uninstalled and rebooted and none of it has worked.
This is the message:
Failed to create the VirtualBoxClient COM object.
The application will now terminate.

Re: VB not starting up
Starting a new topic will not help. Also cross posting is not allowed.
The original topic is not getting any attention for the following reasons:
- Neither the OP nor you are providing any version info, or the architecture used (32 or 64 bits)
- The OP is having an issue when starting a VM - do you also? If you do, attach the entire VBoxStartup log (zip it!)
- You simply don't explain what you were doing in details, how it was installed, etc.
Just give an exact step by step of what you are doing!
