Virtual Graphics Adapter for Windows 8

I have setup a brand new VM with Windows 10 and installed the Guest Additions and everything works fine.
The Virtual Graphics Adapter for Windows 8 has installed correctly and the screen automatically resizes in the host window.

I have a Windows 7 VM which has all my software installed and setup as I want it.
I have tried to do an upgrade to Windows 10 which has worked but the Virtual Graphics Adapter for Windows 8 shows with an error "Windows cannot initialise the device driver for this hardware. (Code 37)".

If I try to update the driver via device manager I get "Windows encountered a problem installing the driver software for your device" - "The system cannot find the file specified".

I have tried various suggestions in posts on the internet but cannot get the driver to work in my Windows 7 upgraded copy.
Any suggestions welcome?
Is there going to be an update to the Guest Additions to include a specific windows 10 driver?
