Hi,
I am running Ubuntu 14.04 (trusty). I just installed Virtualbox 5.0.2 r102096 on my PC. I downloaded Windows 10 32 bit ISO from Microsoft website.
I did restart the linux host after I installed vbox 5.0.
I created a new virtual machine giving it basic stuff (1G DRAM, 32G HDD). I attached the iso file to the SATA controller as optical drive. When I start the VM, it shows up with Windows logo, and just stays there. It does not proceed to any installation steps.
I looked at the Vbox.log. After it says "BIOS: Booting from CD-ROM...", I don't really see any error message. All I see is a few lines prefixed with "GUI:".
I am a bit stumped here. Where do I look for any other logs? Any help?
Thanks.

-- Providing a log.
With the VM fully shut down, right click it in GUI. Select "Show Log" and save "VBox.log" (ONLY) to a zip file. Attach the zip here.

Kyu, did you not see mpack's post right above yours?Kyu wrote:I had the exact same issue. Here is a partial copy of my log.
No one wants to try and read lengthy logs in a browser.mpack wrote:-- Providing a log.

No problem and much better.
If you could edit your 2 previous posts and delete the log info from them life would be perfect.

@kyu: please do not hijack someone else's topic with your own problems. The OP said that he has an Ubuntu host, you have a Windows 10 host. Those are two very different environments.
I will however briefly suggest that you test the MD5 sum on the ISO, and also consider whether the 32bit guest template you selected is correct.
