Fatal! No bootable medium found!

I keep getting this message on my Macbook Pro running OS X Yosemite. I plugged in my USB flash drive, but when I try to click on it, it is greyed out. Any help would be majorly appreciated.

Minimum information needed for assistance.
OSX, Linux and Windows Hosts & Guests
