Very slow guest OS load (WinXP)

Hi,

I have VB version 5 (had the same issue on 4 before).
Basically when I start the WinXP guest OS, it takes a long time to actually start.
Basically it starts windows, shows the desktop but takes a long time to show the rest, just siting there with a blank desktop waiting.

I've attached part of the log where I see 'gaps' of a couple of mins between operations (I've attached the whole log).

My guess is that this has an external cause, for example resident AV or Windows Update hogging host disk I/O bandwidth.
