I have the following configurations

- Windows 10 Host
- Ubuntu Guest
- Rails Server running on Ubuntu Guest
- Virtual Box 5.0
- NAT used so that Ubuntu can connect to the internet
- Host-only adapter used for access of the Guest from the Host (I have done this in addition to NAT so that I can use the environment when offline)

This is what I am experiencing
- I can ping the host-only IP address
- I can connect to the guest over SSH using the host-only IP address
- When I start the rails server on port 3000, I can not access the webserver from the host machine.
-I have tried localhost, 127.0.0.1, the host-only IP
-I don't think there are any firewall rules
-The webrick server does not have a host access list

any thoughts?

Make sure the webtrick server does not only listen on 127.0.0.1. It should listen on 0.0.0.0
