Post by VADJD »

Hello,

We have VB on Windows 64 bit machine. Unable to start VM as it is giving the below error:

VT-x is not available (VERR_VMX_NO_VMX).

We have enabled the Hardware virtualization through your BIOS (VT-X/AMD-V)

Virtual Box Version : VirtualBox 5.0.2 for Windows hosts x86/amd64
HOST:
Processor: Intel(R) Xenon(R) CPU E5-2670 0 @ 2.60GHZ (2 Processors)
RAM: 16.0 GB
System Type : 64-bit Operating System
Guest:
Linux 64 bit

Attached the log file and VBoxStartup.log file. Please help resolve this issue.

Regards.

I don't see any attachments but read the following.

You are running VirtualBox inside a VMWare VM. That is not a supported configuration. I guess you are also not passing VT-x through.
