5.0.2/4.3.30 crashes directly after installation (win7 x32)

Post by Mies030 »

Hello,

I've search the internet for 2 days now to overcome my problem. Unfortunately, without finding an answer. Via Twitter @VirtualBox advised me to post my problem here. So lets try...

My problem is that directly after starting VB 5.0.2, directly after installation, this messages appears:
Callee RC: REGDB_E_CLASSNOTREG (0x80010154)

Removing and re-installing VB5.0.2 did not make any sense. Even tried some recommended commands in the DOS box such as:
VBoxSVC /ReRegServer
regsvr32 VBoxC.dll

This provides the messages: DllRegisterServer in VBoxC.dll secceeded.
But after running VB then, the Callee RC: REGDB_E_CLASSNOTREG (0x80010154) messages appears again.

This morning I tried to install VB4.3.30, in order to exclude that its a matter of "version error". But also 4.3.30 gives an error:
Callee RC: E_NOINTERFACE (0x8004002)

Hopefully some of you has the answer :)

My system specifications:
Win 7 Ultimate
Service Pack 1
Interl Core i5-3210M CPU 2,50GHz
RAM: 4GB
32-bot OS

(Sorry I created some screen shots but unfortunately "I must be a member for 1 days and have 1 posts before I can post urls" :()

My tx in advance!

Ok, in the mean time I figured out something:

The first time I applied the CMD commands in the DOS box of Win7 I'vo got an error. After searching on the internet for that error I found out that I was not Admin in the DOS box. So when in "Run as Admin" the DllRegisterServer in VBosC.dll succeeded. So I also tried to run the VirtualBox.exe via the CMD in the DOS box and surprisingly the VM VirtualBox Manager opened! :D

So for some reason I'm not logged in as Admin. But that's strange because when I go to: Control Panel->User Accounts and Family Safety->User Accounts it appears that I only have one account on my system and that account says "Administrator" :?

Anyway, I seems that I'm able to come into the VB Manager :D
