To be clear, I did not "uncheck" compatibility mode, I have to "check" it and set it to "Windows 8".

Yes, it now sees my network adapter, and I am able to select it and run with it.
Copy & paste works in both directions, but I don't usually enable or use drag & drop.

and you have win 10 host and a win s.o as guest..
hope vbox's devs lookin in to yr vboxsvc.log should be able to get the trick..!
