Upgrade w10 from w7 failed : error 0xC1900101 – 0x20004

Hi, I'm trying to upgrade with the latest build at this time (exp 5.0.3 r102290)

My windows 7 home is activated, I'm launching the upgrade via folder. The install is fresh new

sfc /scannow shows no violation

Disconnected all Sata drive but the hard drive

If I read it correctly that is the Windows Error log and nothing to do with VirtualBox.

The most common cause of the error is an incompatible anti-virus/security program interfering with the installation. Check out the Microsoft Windows 10 Community Forum for further info., but this is a link to one relevant thread - http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/wind ... e84f744666

No antivirus nothing installed, up to date

upgrading a host would not have been related to vb

AFAIK, the only thing you need to do to upgrade a Windows 7 guest to a Windows 10 guest is change the Operating System setting to Windows 10 (32 or 64bit) and remove the guest additions before you upgrade.

And I have one unknown device "Base (?) system device) and I don't know what it could be...

Perhaps you'd have better luck getting Windows support from a Microsoft forum. You've already done everything you needed to do in VirtualBox.
