Is it possible to run VB 4.3.30 and VB 5.0.2

Post by MacNala »

Is it possible to run VB 4.3.30 and VB 5.0.2 on the same Windows host.
I want to checkout Win10 guest support but have only one machine available at present.

HOST: Win7 64bit Pro + SP1 4 core Intel 32GB RAM
GUESTs: Win7 64bit Pro + SP1 and Win10 Pro some upgraded, some ISO installed, some were Technical Preview.

Note Not all guests running at the same time.

No, it's not possible to have both version installed at the same time.

Thanks for the information.
VB 5.0.x will have to wait until more people have proved it error free.

FWIW, Windows 10 works fine for me as a guest on Windows 10, OSX and Linux hosts. The problems some are having (which I actually don't have) are those running Windows 10 as the host OS.

That is exactly my case.
As I said, I have numerous VMs running Win10 in a Win7 Hosted VB 4.3.30 happily.
It is the running of VB in Win10 as a host I am waiting on better evidence that it works.
