Running Kubuntu 8.04 with guest xpsp2. Have wireless USB, Proxim Symphony HomeRF, connection working in guest OS. Is there a way to share this connection with the host? There is no Linux driver for this device which does not seem to work using ndiswrapper. Any Help. TIA.

I don't know. Perhaps a connection sharing on a Host Interface will work. Create a Host Interface (vbox0), use ICS in the Guest and run a dhclient on the Host for the HIF. Might work, might not work.

Got it working! Now have usb wireless access for Kubuntu 8.04 host via XPSP2 guest using Vbox 1.60. As mentioned above there is no Linux driver for the device which doesn't seem to work with ndiswrapper.
Followed instructions here (watch wrap):

Tunctl and brctl are available by adding uml-utilities and bridge-utils. Didn't have to modify windoz routing table but a couple of references are
http://www.windowsnetworking.com/articl ... ables.html
and

Noticed eth0 didn't have an address so assigned one in same subnet as br0 using ifconfig.
Have had to replug the usb connector, windoz seems to drop the connection occasionally, but it works! Have fun.
