Not finding external HD
I recently downloaded Windows 10. Works fine except Symantec/PGP disk Encryption doesn't work on W10. So I created a VM Virtual Box (5.0.1 r102010) and loaded windows 7.1 on it. So far so good. I placed virtual box on a dedicated external hard drive. But my encrypted files are resident on another external hard drive on same network. I can't bring them into my virtual box. I download the extension kit, and I see the hard drive under settings, but not under "My Computer" in VM mode. Symantec says it's an Ocale VM problem.
What to do?
Thanks.

Re: Not finding external HD
You question isn't very clear to me. Are you asking why a host drive isn't visible from inside the VM? If so: host hardware is never visible to a VM. The VM only sees simulated hardware.
Network shares can be accessed, provided the VM is joined to the appropriate network using bridged networking (not NAT).

Re: Not finding external HD
And how would I connect another drive so that I can transfer files and date into my Virtual Box?
Thanks.
Thanks.

Re: Not finding external HD
Search the user manual for "Shared Folders". You can also use a true network share as already mentioned.
