Host: OSX 10.10.5 Yosemite
Guest: Win XP Pro SP3
VB: 5.0.2 with extensions 5.0.2 installed

With VB 5.0.0 Host to Guest Drag n Drop worked OK but Guest to Host Drag n Drop was broken - installed 5.0.2 which had a fix for this and indeed Guest to Host DnD working perfectly - however ...
with 5.0.2 a Host to Guest DnD now broken and causes the Guest VB to abort after c. 4 seconds or so (tried .txt file and a .jpg file).

Checked that 5.0.2 Guest Additions were installed OK.
Console on OSX indicates -

19:07:09 VirtualBoxVM:
VirtualBoxVM(1244,0x131585000) malloc: *** error for object 0x7fbc61118800: pointer being freed was not allocated
*** set a breakpoint in malloc_error_break to debug

Anyone else seen this?

Also - forgot to say that settings for DnD in both the VM Manager and VM are set for Bidirectional.

I also had this Host2Guest drag 'n drop problem. When I try to drag a file, VM crashes and stops itself.
Drag 'n drop, with same VM and VirtualBox 4.28 with extension-pack 4.28 works.

Yes indeed - just got back from walking some hills.

Test build V5.0.3 r102322 works fine (upgraded from 5.0.2 r102096) - DnD OK both directions with .txt and .jpg file.
Console shows single message -
12:57:32 WindowServer: _CGXRemoveWindowFromWindowMovementGroup: Window not in group

Upgraded VM and tried straight away without re-installing Guest Additions - fine
