Windows 7, VirtualBox v5.0.0 r101573
Created 3 VMs, installed Ubuntu, then Mint
Everything was working fine for a couple of hours. Was really very happy with what I had after a couple of hours. Was looking forward to playing with Mint for the very first time.
Then lost connection to the internet. Stopped VB, rebooted my laptop, still can't get on. I can't even see any wireless signals.
The troubleshooting feature in Windows comes back with something about "VirtualBox Host-Only network adapter".
I googled and got lots of hits, all the way back to 2008.
I would like to not have to start from scratch, and review everything which has transpired since 2008 on this issue.
Coworker thinks it might related to the fact that I have old hardware. Toshiba Satellite.
Any quick tips/tricks I can try? Is there already a fix/work-around for this?
Thanks
To update:
Was going to try the instructions on this page:
http://dottech.org/101997/how-to-uninst ... n-windows/
but ended up doing a "restore point" recovery.
Then I installed VMware Player and had even less luck with that.
So trying this product again.
