You have to install Virtualbox NORMALLY no compatibility mode on the installer, tNO MODIFICATION to installed files on Virtualbox dir!!!
Just select comparibility mode to SHORTCUTS on start menu quick launxh vietualbox icon.
Reboot the system, start vietualbox console from icon and guest from console.
It should work, inyour case you probably messed up the things.
Ps: in yoir case, it could be better uninstall and reinstall virtualbox becouse manipulating exe files in DIR probably messed up everything.
