Troubel using USB port and SHARED FOLDERS

Post by mokkel »

Hey. I have an issue regarding my Usb port and shared folders. I can't seem to get it to work. I am using a Mac book pro, and have windows 7 running in Virtual Box. I have activated both Usb ports and shared folders. Can anyone help me detect the problem.

Thanks. Mikkel.

Right click on the guest and then left click on show log. Save and post as an attachment.

Note: the VBox users manual has this information too.

It should be a normal text file but compress it first and then upload it.

You need to install the extension pack if you want to use USB.
You also need to install the guest additions if you want to use shared folders or to have better resolution in the guest.

still having trouble. i have version 4.3.24.
When i use the download links on on VB homepage. I can choose to downgrade my version, or i can reinstall. As i have understood, when you reinstall VB it will automatically upgrade your version. but when i do this i get this message.

The extension pack *must* match the version you have installed.
