I updated to the latest version VirtualBox-4.3.30-101610-Win and this caused both my host and guest to lose the Internet connection.
Repairing the installation didn't help, but uninstalling VirtualBox did give me back the connection on the host.
Is this a known issue or am I just unlucky (and possibly a bit dim)?
Host = Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit.
Lost Internet connection with VB 4.3.30
