Not a computer guy, having trouble...

Hello, I hope you can help!

I am on 10.10.3 and installed VB 5.0 to view an automotive service manual that I bought, but I cannot get it to do anything.

When I first installed it, the virtual desktop would show up, but it ate up EVERY bit of memory, etc., so I couldn't even move the mouse. So, I deleted everything and tried again and the same thing. I can't "uninstall" because my computer doesn't have a password and it (I am guessing) thinks I should? It just says that it fails.

I hate computers and hate PCs even more! Wish it was just an easy MAC install, like everything MAC is, not this overly complex BS that PCs are known for.

Can anyone help me? I have been a MAC guy since the 80s, so I have been trained to keep it simple.

Please help!

Thanks in advance!

The info provided is sketchy at best. See: Minimum information needed for assistance.

A couple of questions…
Is the manual a program that is suppose to run in Windows? If so, what version of Windows?
Did you create a Windows guest and if so, is it just the manual that doesn't work or the guest?

You need to post the exact error message.

I'm sorry Lou, I had been battling with this for 3 days and was at the end of my rope.

Yes, the manual is a windows program and I will have to look up which windows it is designed for.

Error-wise, I was unprepared.
