What would happen if I installed the additions on a real PC?
Say I burned the additions ISO onto a real cd, put it in a real computer, and installed the additions. What would happen?

Nothing, or they would refuse to install. They would waste a little disk space.
It's the same thing that would happen if you installed any kind of driver on a host that doesn't have the appropriate hardware.
