Shadow Protect virtual boot vt-x is not available

I have a Asus P8z77 WS motherboard on newest bios, an i7-3770k cpu. In bios virtualization is turned on. I've had this setup working before. Now for whatever reason I cannot boot virtual machines that I was previously able to boot. I have no idea what changed. I'm trying to boot an windows xp vm I have and a windows server 2008 vm. Both same error. System -> Acceleration section is greyed out.

What happened? How do I fix this?
