The seamless mode do not work on virtualbox 5, the wallpaper remains there, no transparancy

Hi, I am facing the same problem, on VBox 5.0.3 r102220 on a mac running OS X 10.10.5, as of today, latest version for both.
I upgraded couple days ago from Win 8.1. The upgraded machine does not have Seamless mode available anymore and all of my previously existing network connections no longer work, despite being configured in the VM configuration.
So far these are the two problems faced. If someone else had them and managed solving please share.

The latest test build is 5.0.3 r102322 but I doubt it will help.

I had a problem with W10 client seamless mode on W7 host in VB 5.0.10. Solved it by turning 3D acceleration off.

3D acceleration did not help for me. host is linux mint 17.2, nvidia unix drivers. I've given up on w10.

FWIW, you can give up on Windows 10 if you like but Seamless works for me on my Linux Mint 17.2 Cinnamon host with 3D disabled. Intel HD 4600 Graphics. VB 5.0.10.

Hmmm, that's interesting. I'm using Mint 17.2 KDE with NVidia's latest 358.16 driver. Both host and guest are 64 bit.
