USB

Post by Frobbo »

I'm Running Windows XP (32bit) within VM on Windows 8, I have extension pack 5.0.0r101573 installed.
I'm trying to connect an Akai sampler via USB using AkSYS. It's recognised in the USB menu via a USB 2.0 port but I can't communicate with it or load samples.
Have I missed something?

Quite possibly you missed something, but it's hard to say with the information given.

Have a read of this post.

Thanks mpack

I've gone from the very beginning of the process this time using a usb memory stick and followed the post completely.

I get a message saying USB not attached when I roll over the icon and when I try to attach it says it cannot attach because it's busy with a previous request

Any suggestions?

I'm afraid that the linked post already gave you all my suggestions. If I had any more gems then I'd have added them to the tutorial!

I don't recall the instructions saying anything about rolling over icons? And I don't see how it can be busy with a previous request if you don't plug the device in until after the VM has booted. And I hope you noted the parts about USB3.
