Display Size - Virtualbox in Windows10

Hi,
I'm a N00b at this so please be pretty clear for the technically challenged.
I have installed VirtualBox 5 in Windows10 [upgraded from 8.1] - my VM is Windows7. I have also installed Guest Additions
Everything is great except the screen size - it is tiny and I have to move around using the scroll bars which is a pain.
When I used HyperV, I solved the problem by using Remote Desktop - I then had a proper desktop to work with. No joy on VB - I can only remote if it is Bridged Adapter. When I choose Bridged, there is no option to choose my adapter. Note that I only use wireless.
Then I read about scaling - solutions were around Unchecking "Let me choose scaling level on my displays". I don't have that option when I go to Control Panel -> Display, no sign of this.
Any suggestions?
Thanks,
