Hi all,

What i want is that my cliente Windows 8.1 get any IP Adress from the scoop created on Windows Server 2012.

What cards shood i get on Server 2012 ? One Bridge and One Internal ? And what IP's/gateway/DNS should i use in both ?
Or its total diferente ?
And on Windows 8.1 ? Internal Network ?
The scoop i creat was 192.168.70.20 192.168.70.100.

Both computers(Server and Client) are in the same domain,

Best Regards

If the server is a domain controller, don't even think of giving it two NICs. For the client to get its IP from DNS on the server, all you need to do is put them both in the same internal network. The default setting for 8.1 is to get its network config automatically. If there is a DHCP server active on the network it will use it.

If you want to connect the domain to the Internet, do not try to use the DC as a router. Set up a separate vm to act as a router between the internal network and the Internet. That is when you have to worry about things like default gateways.

This is really a Microsoft networking question, not a VirtualBox one. You set it up exactly the same way as you would set up a domain running on physical machines and physical switches.

Hi,

I have try that way but still dont get any IP at all.

Windows Server 2012 with only one card in internal and the client Windows 8.1 with internal card as well.
Windows Server 2012 with a IP 192.168.1.1 with a scope active with range 192.168.70.20 to 192.168.70.100
The 8.1 dont get any IP at all. It get the non valide 169... IP address
And when i try to renew the IP address on 8.1 it says unable to connecto to your DHCP Server... Request as timeout...

I have try in the virtualbox settins/network/host-only-adapter/DHCP Server remove the Enable Server. With or without it !!!!
Still the same.

What i'm doing wrong ?

Regards

Why would you use a scope which did not include the server? How would the guest communicate with it?
