revealing hidden menu bar, no home key

Hi all,
I'm trying to install guest additions on an OS 10.10.2 host, Windows 7 guest. The problem is, I can't see the menu bar which would usually show 'machine', 'devices', etc. It doesn't show up in full-screen, scaled or seamless modes. All solutions I can find for this issue are to toggle the menu with host+home, but I don't have a home key. Any ideas on how to get around this?
