I nave the install part done. I merely had to point the Device DVD/CD drive to the install iso file and boot from it.

But I now have three problems: This HP Envy 17-K073 laptop has no right set of normal keys, meaning no right Ctrl, Alt, or Menu key. Instead, they put the arrow keys there. I can't find out how to change the Host key to something else. Was no problem finding or chamging it with earlier releases of Virtualbox. How do I do it with Virtualbox 5.0?

Second problem, there is no vboxguestadditions.iso file with what I have, and I can't find any point on the internet where I can go and download it. The manual and related posts insist that I have it already, but I've not been able to track it down. I need help on solving this problem. The posts did say that to get 1600x900 resolution with the laptop screen, I need to have guest additions.

Third problem is, that the mini toolbar does not show up when I have the guest running. I have it flagged to be at the top of the screen, but when I move the mouse to top, bottom, or either side, it is nowhere to be found. Real awkward, 'cause it is needed.

You set the host key in the preference -> input. ( file -> preference -> input ) at the top of the main manager window.

Once you have set the host key and it is working then use the ( host+home ) toggle to open the menu on the guest. Then you don't need to worry about the illusive popup window.

Guest additions can be found in the device setting at the top of the guest window. They are included in the official build of VirtualBox.

Thanks! I was able to go under File/Preferences/Input, and pick the Virtual Machine column so that I could change my Host key setting. As to what keys to use, it is a matter of choice. Since I am using Windows 7, Windows wants to hog the winkey to itself, so that was out. I could pick a function key, but they already serve double duty, and on this keyboard, you have to hold down the Fn key (bottom row) while pressing the function key (top row) to get the key to act as a function key. That's already two hands at work, and I want to add a 3rd key to the mix? I think not.

My client was coming up in full screen mode, so I did not have a means of getting to the view to change it without the host key ability, (I settled on Ctrl+Caps key combo for now, but will have to make sure not to leave it locked in uppercase). Anyway, once in window view mode, I could at last get to Devices and mount the VBoxGuestAdditions.ico and run it. That gave me my expanded view of the window's desktop. I seem to remember you could set the additions ico as on the virtual DVD/CD drive under the Virtual Manager in the past. But that was when it was a seperate item to be downloaded.

One problem I noted is that I can't dislodge the initial install disk iso image from the Virtualbox Manager, so have to sit through the timeout period on startup, where it only needs a key press, and it will restart the install process.
Using the Devices settings under the xlient, I was finally able to direct it back to the real DVDRW drive instead. I
