Settings crash on exit

I'm switching to a new Windows PC, and one weird thing blocking me is that VirtualBox consistently crashes on the new PC when I exit settings. After long hours of trying to figure out why, I think I've finally narrowed it down to being a conflict with Sticky Password.
The error is easy to reproduce on my end, and does not seem to be related to any particular virtual machine. I start up VirtualBox, click Settings or go to Preferences, immediately click cancel, and VirtualBox crashes with the following error in event viewer:
Nothing relevant is logged by VB as far as I can tell, but I can attach logs later if that's at all helpful.
If I exit Sticky Password and do the same thing everything works fine. On my old PC both apps have coexisted for years without any issues.
New PC is Windows 10 Pro 64-bit (same thing happened on 8.1), Sticky Password 8.0.4.34, VirtualBox 4.3.30.
Old PC is Windows 7 Pro 64-bit, Sticky Password 7.0.7.69, VirtualBox 4.3.12
Anyone else see anything similar? Or any idea why this is happening? I can't tell for sure that it's a problem with VirtualBox, but VB is the app that's doing the crashing, and other apps seem to work fine with SP running.
