My virtualbox (Vista) was working fine until a couple of days ago.

Here's what it says:

Shared folder host path '/home/robert/Desktop/Shared' is not accessible.

The only two things I can think of are

1) I accidentally deleted the "shared" folder on my desktop. I tried making another one, but the message doesn't go away, and I can't access the virtualbox.

2) this happened the first time I tried to use my virtualbox after disconnecting my external hardrive. Even though I don't think my guest machine is on the ex. hard. Now that I've reconnected it, the virtualbox still doesn't work.

Go easy on me, I'm a newbie.....

can you paste here the output of: and the output of: is the external hard drive what you were sharing with your virtual machine?

The sharing folder itself, as far as I understood it, was meant for sharing between the Host (Ubuntu) and the Guest (Vista).

"2nd" should have this below:

ls: /home/robert/Desktop/Shared: No such file or directory

It works!

I just realized there's a difference b/t "shared" and "Shared"....now it works....
