Windows login problems after upgrading to 4.3.30

Hello together,

recently I want to update my VirtualBox installation (on a Windows 8.1 host) to 4.3.30 (from 4.3.20 r96997) and observed the following problem after installing and restarting my computer:
I get the login screen without any problems and after entering my password it takes very long (longer as normal) to get to my desktop background. But instead of seeing my whole desktop and task bar, i get an empty desktop (without any folders, shortcuts or anything, and an empty task bar, except the windows start menu logo and the clock). I can do anything there (no right click on task bar e.g.) and opening the task manager through Ctrl + Alt + Del doesn't open anything.

So I started the secure mode and looked into the event viewer. I only found the following entry which wasn't there before (I attach the whole events for the boot):

After I rolled back to the previous version (using the restore point) all works like expected. I don't know if that's a bug or configuration problem. Maybe someone can assist here?

Doesn't happen with a direct upgrade to VirtualBox 5.0.
