Hi,
As I run into problems after migration from 4.x to 5.0 (#14261 and #14302) that are technically preventing me from using some of the VB features - I would like to clean reinstall VB but prevent my vm farm. I'm on Windows 7 Pro 64b.
I was thinking about saving C;\Users\username\.VirtualBox\VirtualBox.xml in a secure location to merge it later with new VirtualBox.xml to save me hassle with ExtraData and MachineRegistry tags. But on the other hand I don't want to run into even bigger problems with my vm farm. Obviosuly I will copy my entire virtual machines folder to separate, secure location. Anything else I need to be aware of?
Worst case scenario would be to export every single vm to ova, uninstall VB with Revo Unistaller or something similar, install VB fresh and import every ova file. But that is last resort.
Most of all I would like to solve the bridged network issue. I installed VB 5.0 on a new laptop and bridged network is working fine, so I'm guessing the bridged network issues I'm experiencing could be related to fact that it was upgrade, not a fresh install.
Will appreciate your input! Thank you.
VB 5.0 clean installation
