Virtualbox Shared Folders

Post by georgf.d »

Hi @ll,
I've got a Problem with the Virtual Machine Shared Folders.
I've got one Shared Folder to share some Documents between my Ubuntu Hardy Heron Host, and the WinXP VM. I've mounted the Folder as a Network Storage, or Network Drive. I can read and write Data from it without any problems.
When I want to save a document for example directly on the drive i get an error message that i dont got the rights to do this, but when i manually copy the files via the Windows explorer it works without any errors.

Could you help me? How is it possible to let the programms have direct acces to the Network folders; or is there a possibility to synchronize the Folder in the VM with the network folder in a set value (every 5 min. f.E.).

Thank you in forward!!

what version of virtualbox are you using? if you upgraded to 1.6.0, did you reinstall guest additions?
