No internet on anything.
Tried NAT, bridged connection, setting static ip and dns similar to host. Windows 8.1 host, running on broadcom adapter, and on cellular phone connection.
When I use NAT and bridged connection together it says connected but when I open internet explorer and try to visit a page it says can not display page.
Bridged connection shows limited or no connectivity.
NAT says connected but internet explorer says can not display the web page.
No internet on Windows XP, Windows 7, Ubuntu

How do you use NAT and bridged together? That would require two NICs, and may get confusing.
If the host has working internet then NAT should always work - because NAT is simply the VM using the hosts network connection. Don't add a second NIC to the VM until you've determined why NAT doesn't work.
And don't mess with anything else you may not understand, such as MAC addresses, IP address assignment, DNS and gateway addresses etc.
