Hi,
I've been a VirtualBox user for at least the last 10 years, initially under FreeBSD and for the last seven years under Windows as well. The problem I'm experiencing is with various Linux guests (CentOS and Fedora) under Windows 7. I have a shared folder on my laptop which through active sync actually exists on a remote share on the LAN. Under 4.3.28 this was not a problem. However under 5.0 the Linux guests (CentOS 5, 6, and 7) receive the error ls: cannot open directory /media/sf_Documents: Invalid argument. Moving the documents from the share to a local folder on the C: drive resolves the issue. Is this a bug or intended?

Re: VirtualBox 5.0 Shared Folders
I would post a ticket at bugtracker
So much has changed in version 5 that it is more than likely they missed something causing a regression.
